Spend an enjoyable day helping to support charities, cheering on the athletes and watching one of the 12 sports this event has for spectators to see. From the 28th August to the 1st September the events will take place at the Sports Training Village at The University of Bath and there will be something for everyone to see.
On the 27th July and 26th August there will be a new walking route from Dyrham Park near Bath through local farmland with the Cotswold Voluntary Wardens acting as guides. Places are limited and the walk is expected to take approximately 2.5 hours. Dyrham Park is home to a magnificent herd of Fallow Deer and other wildlife so this walk promises to be a great day out for anyone who decides to participate.
On the 28th July 2013 the Bath Running Festival takes place and offers a great opportunity to runners and those interested in running. Visitors to the area are encouraged to get involved, have fun and help support other runners during the day. Don’t worry if you are not quite up for a full marathon as the running festival has different races for different levels of fitness as well as ages so you don’t have to push yourself too hard if you don’t want to.
