This summer go along and see an amazing exhibition entitled Coppiced Wood by Junko Mori at The Holbourne Museum in Bath. The exhibition is free and is on from 6th July to the 8th September so you have plenty of time to go see these amazing works of art. Junko Mori is a metalsmith with a passion for creating beautiful pieces of art. The hand forged steel sculptures are unique and bear a resemblance to many shapes found in nature.
This prize winning artist has had her work exhibited internationally; her pieces range in size and have some extremely intricate details. There is a workshop on the 27th July with Junko Mori herself, where you can learn more about steel sculptures and try some techniques to help entice your artistic side out. The Coppiced Wood exhibition may take you by surprise, especially when you consider these steel objects that replicate the delicate beauty of the nature that surrounds us. Held in The Holbourne Museum’s Ballroom Gallery adds a sense of luxury and elegance to the exhibition.
