Just what is it about autumn that makes being outside in the fresh air even more exciting for the kids? Well whatever it is about running through fallen leaves that they love so much they’ve had a great time in Bath’s 57 acre Victoria Park since 1829.

Short breaks in Bath are a great idea for a half term getaway, and the city offers just as much fun for the little ones than it does for us grown ups. The park not only has all the charm and features you’d expect from Bath’s most popular open space, but it also has a play park at its heart that has even the most dignified of adults secretly thinking about having a go!

You’ll find all the usual park rides and a few imaginative surprises, and they’re located according to their age group so it’s easy for children to enjoy. The park includes slides and swings, a sand pit, climbing frames, a large tyre swing and tunnel slides. It’s easy to spend hours enjoying the features on a warm day, and best of all it doesn’t cost a thing (the old pastimes really are the best sometimes!).
