Bath is preparing to celebrate all things to do with the silver screen this winter, as the Bath Film Festival returns from 28th November to 8th December. The film festival will be marking its 23rd year, making it one of the West Country’s longest-running annual events. Every November sees the city host screenings of films from every genre, and they include retrospective films, documentaries, specialist films and features – so there’s something to suit every film lover.
One of the festival highlights will be the chance to watch The Passion of Joan of Arc in the unique setting of Bath Abbey. The screening is set for 25th November, and this unforgettable film will have even more of an impact on its audience in this striking venue. Additional locations will include the Masonic Hall, the Little Theatre Cinema, Chapel Arts and the Rondo Theatre, so whether you fancy watching your favourite film amidst grandeur or in a cosy setting there’ll be an event for you.
