If you are a lover of nature and all creatures then a visit to West of England Falconry is not to be missed. Situated in Bath the falconry centre not only rescue and rehabilitate native birds of prey but they also offer Hawk Walks with friendly and passionate guides through the local countryside. Meet the birds, hear their individual stories and see them in action on this fun filled and educational walk.
Hawk Walks are available all year round weather permitting and you can find out more about the team and the birds at West of England Falconry here. Your Hawk walk includes meeting the birds and the people who look after them, advice and guidance on how to handle them correctly and interesting information about each bird. After a brief refreshment break the walk will start and you will head off to the hawk field to experience the birds in action, flying, soaring and returning to your gloved hand.
While the Hawk Walk is a fabulous event to take part in it may not be suitable for those with walking difficulties or very young children. With so much to see and do it’s a great idea to stay over and you can find great Bath accommodation close to all of the amenities and sights.
