Its incredible to stay at this hotel actually designed by the great man himself.

We were due to visit here the weekend immediately prior to lockdown but the virus had other plans! The hotel were fantastic in allowing us to move the date to August. The staff at this establishment are simply amazing. All four bar staff serving us over the weekend were friendly, attentive and efficient. The reception team are great also, knowledgable and nothing’s too much trouble. And as for the waiting team they excel. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel over the two days and must salute the food quality and variety – fabulous.

We were lucky to get one of the hotel’s 6 parking spaces for £10 per day – a bargain.

Isambard Kingdom Brunel was voted the second greatest Briton of all time (behind Winston Churchill) in a BBC poll. His constructions were pure enginnering excellence and quality was his mantra. Were he able to revisit his creation today he would surely be proud too see quality and service excellence still being delivered 174 year later.
