Booked last minute for New Years Eve, having never stayed at the Royal before, and it was absolutely excellent. The staff were friendly, efficient and always looked happy. They all seemed to work well together as a team. The food was incredible and came out well presented, always hot and tasted delicious. I could not fault it. I was made to feel welcome from the moment I walked in until I left. Nothing was too much trouble and the room was warm and comfortable. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and the also the location is superb. Opposite the train station and in the town centre. Fabulous
