The hotel is less than a minute walk from the rail station, but within 5 minutes walk from much of the tourist attractions of Bath. The building is a tradition railway hotel, located at the edge of a recently completed urban renewal project. I stayed a night, had a meal in the bar, held a meeting in the meeting room and ate in the restaurant. The staff are friendly and helpful. The staff wore well turned out uniforms. There is a small lift capable of holding 2 people and their baggage. The room was compact but had a wide range of facilities; trouser press, ironing board, iron, heat/fan, tea/coffee tray and bottle water. The bed was very comfortable and I had a view towards the Abbey. The shower/toilet room was very clean and well maintained. The bar was comfortable and had a nice selection of dishes on the bar menu. I also ate in the restaurant for lunch, which also had a nice selection of dishes. I was impressed with the quality and selection of the dishes. The hotel with its prime location, helpful staff, well maintained rooms, wide range of good food was a pleasant surprise for such a small hotel.
