We stayed at The Royal, with friends, to start our year long 60th birthday celebrations for myself and my best friend. Well we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect start. The hotel is lovely, it is clean and warm, our rooms were very comfortable. The hotel is situated just perfectly for shopping. Our husbands did the free walking tour with guide which they thoroughly enjoyed. The food is wonderful I am a veggie and the choices were really good (not your boring veggie lasagne). The cream tea was exceptional, scones warm and probably the best we’ve ever had. Most importantly the staff, they are polite, charming and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Thank you to every single one. A perfect perfect start to our celebratory year.
