The first time we stayed at the Royal was simply because it was just over the road from the station.

However the Royal is much more than a convenient location, as we discovered. A comfortable room, very friendly and helpful staff and excellent food, what more could you want.

So now the Royal is our first choice when visiting Bath, even when not travelling by train. We always ask for the same room, 204, as we have got used to it.

If you are interested in doing the Bath hop on hop off open top bus tour, the bus starts just around the corner from the hotel.

Navigation is easy; if you are going downhill, you are heading back to the hotel. Or just hop back on the tour bus.
